Aquarium Run

Friday night began our adventure to the Jenks Half Marathon. Jonathan decided a while ago he would like to run a half marathon and eventuallya marathon. So, back in December he started training. We decided to head to Tulsa on Friday night, since the run started at 7:15.

We had our first adventure of a hotel stay with Isaiah. We took him swimming and he was not to sure of this big body of water (even though he loved that lake last year). Finally he decided splashing was ok. Then off to bed, yeah right mom we are in a new place. We threw out the idea of a pack in play and he slept with mom, which took another 45 min to fall asleep. We all finally settled in to sleep and some crazy people were screaming in the hall way for 2 hours. We get to sleep again and Isaiah falls off the bed, which I had been dreading all night. Nobody got much sleep, but we were excited to see Daddy run anyway.

Off to the run at 7:15. Jon ran his half marathon in 1 hour 52 min. WOO HOO Dad. He was expecting it to take longer. Nini (Grandma Rigsby), Isaiah, and I did the fun run (or walk)!

All this takes place and mom forgot the camera, oh well. We headed to the aquarium to see the fish. Isaiah loved all the fish, he was in amazement the entire time. And of course he loved seeing Nemo!!

We are so proud of Dad! He did such a great job!!

Riding with Daddy!

Isaiah loves riding bikes with Daddy. We found this kids hat at a garage sale. Jon thought Isaiah should wear a bike hat also. He actually hated it and wanted it off the first time he put it on. Then he realized Daddy had one too, so it become a good thing. Not to sure of this thing.Alright, ready to go!!

Zoo Time!!

Isaiah really enjoyed the Zoo this year. He kept saying " see amals."
Watching the "ephants". He wanted to watch the elephants for a long time. One was dancing for him and waving her ears! There were two baby monkeys rolling and playing all over the grass. Isaiah thought it was really funny! One baby monkey thought his friend turtle needed a bath and kept splashing the turtle. Playing with the goats. He thought this was the best thing ever, he just would just chase whatever goat would let them pet him for the longest. This goat decided to chomp on Isaiah's hand for a while. He thought it was fun for a minute, then decided this goat should go back to eating hay.

Not to many animal made an appearance today. Think they were all in the shade, it was only 87 degrees. So much for spring, summer has arrived. But Mr. Bear came out to visit. And the giant turtles were very friendly today. They were trying to make baby turtles. Even the zookeeper was surprised by this action!!
On the Choo-Choo Train with Nini. He was getting very hot and tried at this point. Thanks Nini for going to the Zoo with us!!
