Gabby 1 month.

This little princess some how was born early and jumped to one month way to fast. So far she is a pretty calm baby, doesn't cry much and sleeps alot. Even for getting up every 2 -3 hours at night,  most of the time she will go back to sleep. There has been a few nights where she thought it would fun to be up for a couple of hours. Gabby has grown alot since she came home from a week long in the hospital. She went from 5 pounds 9 oz, to 6 oz in one week and her one month check up she weighed 7 pounds 11 oz. Her jaundice is gone, yay!

Her brothers adore her, every night they have to kiss Gabby goodnight and before that we all read their Bible book story's together. Isaiah of course was the most curious, when can she play, why cant she eat what eat, and so on. Noah is being so gently with her, he will come by a rub her head or give her a kiss about twenty times a day! Besides mom and dad being really tired, we are taking in every moment of this new girl stuff. I never thought I would enjoy putting little tiny headbands and bows in her hair( or bald little head,) but she has to have one every day! She does have one strip of hair in the back, that was very brown when she was born and seems to be a little lighter, but looks like she still might have brown hair and blue eyes. Jon was a little jealous all three kids got my blue eyes and not his green ones. Gabby, however has her dad toes for sure. She  really doesn't mind baths that much, her brothers screamed during them. She is doing so well for being 5 weeks early and we are so blessed to have her here already!

Gabriellah June Rigsby

Gabby's room had just been finished when she decided to make her entrance at 35 weeks. Weighing 5 pounds 3 ounces and 19 1/4 inches long. 

Just a few days earlier the doctor had given me a shot to stop labor and she held out for 3 days.  Although, she came out screaming and crying she used up all her serpentine in the lungs that allows air threw to separate the lungs to breathe.  She had to be put under a oxygen hood for almost 5 days and eventually had an iv in her head( they couldn't get it in her little arms.) Then to add to the fun she had a jaundice blanket and some really fun sun glasses, due to jaundice levels way to high. 

Little miss had to stay in the nursery the entire week so Mom and Dad didn't even get to hold her the first few days. We tired skin to skin and Gabby liked it, but her lungs did not, so she had to be handled very little. A few days in we got to start feeding her , but still had to visit the nursery to see her. Friday Jon came in with this little bundle and I asked " does she get to stay just a little while." We found out her oxygen levels had been normal without the IV all Thursday night. We were very excited to have little bit right next to us. She definatley came leaps and bounds that week, nurses said that they have seen babies not even make it this far in one week. Even though it was a very very long week waiting for our new little bundle, she developed those little lungs and was healthy! So, we got to go home Sunday!
