Branson

Jon and I spent the weekend in Branson. The little man stayed with his grandparents. We packed up Friday, and off we went to spend a restful weekend together.

Isaiah helping me pack! He loves to climb inside anything now.

We stopped in Springfield first and went to the Fantastic Caverns. It was a pretty neat place. You get to ride through the cave in a Jeep pulled trailer.

Then we did lots of shopping. I even found jeans for $7 ( amazing). While shopping a down pour came upon us, and we got soaked. It was fun though. It eventually stopped and we continued our shopping endeavours.

We also rode the Ducks. We learned about the history of Branson, and got a tour and history lesson about College of the Ozarks. Did you know that all of their graduates graduate debt free? I think we are sending Isaiah there for college. We also went on Lake Tanycomo and supposedly the water is 53 degrees all the time. If you are ever in Branson stop by Charlie's Ribs and Steaks, we have eaten there twice now and it was good both times!

We headed back to Springfield on Sunday to go to Bass Pro. This one actually caught my attention. They have alligators, more fish than the Tulsa store, turtles, ducks, and more things to see than the Tulsa store. Of course Jon had to spend some money there, but he did really good spending less than $10.
I guess Isaiah had a great time with his grandparents. He got to go swimming at great grandma's pool and when we got back went to his first 4th of July celebration. It was at a church close to Jon's parents house. They had live music, free food, and tons of stuff for kids. He tried to ride a pony, but did not really enjoy it. We left the festival just in time to miss the rain.
Jon and I both would have stayed for another week, but we really missed our little guy. We may have to take him with us the next time.
